The company's origins trace back over thirty years to Verona Service Company, founded by the steadfast and caring Homer Huff. Homer built the foundation of a successful business, serving the local community with dedication and integrity. As Homer approached retirement in the mid-2000s, he brought on Sam Hickin as a part-time employee. Sam quickly proved himself to be an invaluable asset, bringing experience in the garage door industry and a strong financial background. Upon Homer's transition, Sam took the reins in February 2009, rebranding the business as Valley Garage Doors.

Under Sam's ownership, Valley Garage Doors has seamlessly integrated the legacy of Verona Service Company with a forward-thinking approach. Sam, a lifelong Virginia resident, brings a strong connection to the community and a master's degree in business administration from James Madison University.
